Coin Operated Computer Cafe
Many people now are using computer for many purposes, some are students using it for there projects as well as grown up are using it in there office. Or even kids have the ability to use it. In this reason, an idea came up my mind.
I have a friend, which is having Coin Operated Arcade business. This Arcade uses some of gadgets like Play station 2, Xbox, Nintendo and etc. The aim of his business is to sell or rent an Arcade in a Box, not a box like a cube or any other stuff of box but this is the same as Casing to protect its components inside with speaker and other hardware like coin slot.
I notice now a day, where ever I go, most of the places have been engage to a business like an Internet Café, which uses computers to surf to the web, watching videos and listening music you want and gaming.
But time goes by, along with the technology get higher, Coin Operated Arcade now are turning into Coin Operated Computer, which has the same function as the arcade. Computer has more advantage than the arcade like all of these features can be seen in the computer.
Given the chance to have my own techno business, I would prefer to have a Coin Operated Computer Café.

Advantages
One of its advantages is that all features of the internet café are in this business and there is no need for a server pc for monitoring the remaining time of the clients. All you need to do is to put a changing booth for your clients where their bill exchanges with coins.
The other advantages of this computer café are each unit has its own timer. When the clients remaining time is equal to zero the computer will automatically shut down its system. You just turn on again the computer if you need to use it. The difference between this Coin Operated Computer Café from the other coin operated computer machine is there timer. This business will developed a Software Timer that when the remaining time is equal to zero it will shut down while the other timer is like the common digital timer that the coin operated machine uses, when the remaining time of the client is equal to zero it will execute a command that will shut down only the monitor of the computer and leaving the system inside turn on. That will cause a lot, prone for overheating the system and it will eat a lot of voltage blowing up your electric bill. This makes this business unique to other, not only cheap but also a power saver machine. With a Software Timer the remaining time of the clients is always save to the database, the purpose of putting the remaining time in a database it is because there is some interruption that we can never predict like we the BROWNOUT, the most problem of the digital timer, once the electricity gone, the remaining time of the client will be burn out and make the head of the client burn out for sure, because all its time and money will be back to zero or gone. This business has its solution, the software timer remaining time will be based in the database so whenever brownout will occur, the remaining time will be saved then when electricity is back, turning on the computer, whooaaah! Time will be restored. No problem, no burn out heads of client.
Disadvantages
The disadvantage of this business is just like any coin operated machine problem. Coin operated machine coin slot where usually the problem, some causes of the damaging the coin slot is the clients not following the instructions on how to use or how to insert coins into the coin slot, like there is an instruction that insert 1 peso coin and stupid clients like kids where just inserting 25 centavo coin and make the coin slot choke. One of the disadvantage features of the coin slot is that the 1 peso coin. Right now, we have 2 kinds of peso, one is made some unique metal and it cannot be attracted to a magnet, usually it is has a year labeled in the coin “2003” or below while the other peso coin is made up of unique metal also but it is attracted with a magnet, it is usually more shiny than the other coin, and the year labeled in the coin is “2004” or above.

- A box serves as the house or casing of the computer system unit. Use to protect from the system being damage and other harmful things that may damage the computer system.
• Joystick
- Serves as the controller for the arcade games in the computer, usually 2 joystick in each computer.
• Keyboard and Mouse
-Use to help clients navigate and control the computer.
• Coin Slot
- This hardware makes this computer a coin operated machine. Use to operate and increase the time in the timer.
• Software Timer
- A software timer that use to determine the time of the clients. It is different from a digital timer, this timer can turn off the entire computer system.
Cheap
This serve as like an internet café but it is more affordable because it is coin operated, therefore you can use it as low as 1 peso or 5 peso depends on what is set in the computer.
Internet Access with Security-
Can browse and surf through the internet. I heard about the news that there is councilor question the security about some adult websites for those minor clients. And also students who want to upload or download through social sites or through their mails, it will just take several minutes, because it is coin operated you can save as low as 1 peso or 5 peso.
Document Files –
Can make their word, excel, presentation documents and also saving audio and video files.
Games –
For those gamers, they can also avail this feature. This business, each computer unit has a maximum of 2 joysticks, therefore 2 players in each computer unit.
There is also Arcade games, like Nintendo and Plays Station and etc. They can also play those games in a computer unit because most of the arcades games now have an Emulator for computer unit so there no problem with that.
LAN Games, this business will not be called as Coin Operated Computer Café if the computers inside are not connected to each other, most of the latest version of all LAN Games will serve to the client and we accept suggestion for the clients if they want to play specific games that has not found in the computer.
Online Games, They can also avail this, this business will assure fast internet connections. Other coin operated computers with online games has a problem when it comes to updating the online games because time to time or may be every week, online games has its maintenance every week and after that you need to patch it, Patching can blow up the head of the clients in waiting and eating the remaining time. The cause of that is this software they called “DEEP FREEZE”, this software is like a time machine making things back to default and ignoring the things that have you done. If in a computer you install something, let say you install a downloader software then after installing you restart the computer, after restarting… WHOOAHH!! Your software installed is gone. Sad to say, the computer is back to default. Whatever you do, saving data, deleting data, updating and etc. those things you have done after restarting it just will back to default. The good thing about this is to protect the files inside the hard drive. This business has its solution for the patching the online games. This business will provide a logical drive where all games are installed, you can saved your game in LAN GAMES and Patch or Update files of the online games so there is no need to wait for so long in patching online games.
Audio and Video Streaming
This business provides latest music albums from different artist, music video and movies so that clients are more comfortable. Most of other coin operated computers are there are big speakers in each unit, example, so let say 5 computer units will do, imagine 5 computer units simultaneously turning on their speakers and let say they turning it to max volume, whooahh!! An earthquake may occur, vibrating over the place, it’s a big problem, remember clients are not only one, so think about the remaining client if they are comfortable with that or maybe if there concentrating clients scrambled his/her head making documents or maybe solving complicated solution. This can cause trouble. So, this business implementing headphones in each computer unit and the make this business less expensive (speakers is so expensive).
